A Cocktail Guide To 24 Hours In Ibiza

Start as you mean to go on…

11:am – Espresso Martini
Ibiza has been known for it’s hedonism since way back to Pheonecian times; and we’re pretty sure the island’s beloved God Bes didn’t have a ‘no hard liquor before noon’ rule…plus, it’s practically your morning coffee!
Boasting truly incredible waterside views of Dalt Vila, the mixologists at Cappuccino Grand Café in Ibiza Marina serve up an ice cold Espresso Martini that packs a good punch to kick start your day.

Liquid lunch
13:00 – Sangria
The perfect accompaniment wether you’re choosing to dine or just wine; no trip to España would be complete without some afternoon sangria. We are particularly fond of the champagne sangria at Yemanja, bursting with fresh local fruit and fizz…it’s almost impossible to have just one.

A Pirates life for me
16:00 – RUM!
On an island whose coastline is scattered with pirate towers and smuggling caves, it would be rude not to raise a glass of rum in honour of it’s pirate history. We are particularly partial to Experimental Beach’s Old Cuban. Plantation 3* rum infused with mint, ginger and lime and Angostura bitters – topped up with cava – the perfect Balearic twist.

Sundowners-on-sea
19:00 – Multiple sunset shake and stirs
An essential part of any trip to Ibiza is chartering a boat, so why not take in that famous Ibiza sunset onboard a yacht? The Bar Ibiza offer bar services in flexible packages to cater for your cocktail needs at sea. The sunset that famously receives rapturous applause can be toasted with cocktails recommended by one of our onboard mixologists.

Beware the beast!
22:00 – The Green Beast
The signature absinthe cocktail of Bar 1805 is served in a birdcage punch bowl and supped through crystal pipes in this bohemian cave in the heart of Eivissa Old Town. Just so happen to have an anchor tattoo? Be sure to have it on show when ordering, you’ll get free drinks in celebration of Pernod (the anchor’s in the logo ;)). Bar 1805 is named after the year Pernod was first released – don’t you know. Just be careful climbing back down the cobbled stairs once you’ve been kissed by the absinthe fairy!

Paradise Lost
01:00 – Tequilla Old fashioned
Stumbling distance from Bar 1805, and named after Milton’s poem about the garden of Eden – this is the perfect place to give in to temptation! Tucked away and secluded, come and get lost well into the wee hours with a Tequilla Old Fashioned and whatever other incredible creations Jim Harvey concocts to suit your late night needs. What hath night to do with sleep, indeed!

The morning after
11am – Retox/Detox
…Or perhaps a bit of both? Why not let The Bar Ibiza come to you and cater for your and your guests perfect morning after tipple? You can ‘hair of the dog’ with one of our signature Bloody Mary’s to carry on the party or if you’re not quite there yet, you can stick to a Virgin Mary or one of our other fresh fruit and vegetable juices to wash away yesterday’s sins… or simply follow one with the other.

High quality produce is of the upmost important to us at The Bar Ibiza. Premium liquor and wines and locally sourced fruit and vegetables mixed and served by the best, because you and your liver deserve nothing less. Enjoy!
